Prairie Chapel is located on the Sumas Prairie in eastern Abbotsford. Our history dates back to 1951, when we were initially known as the Sumas Sunday School Mission. In 1969, Prairie Chapel was registered and incorporated as a non-denominational Bible Church under the Societies Act of
British Columbia.

As a congregation, we are committed to the Lordship and exaltation of Jesus Christ, as summarized in I Corinthians 10:31, “Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”

As those who belong to our Lord Jesus Christ, we diligently work to “… preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” (Ephesians 4:3). Prairie Chapel is a Christian fellowship of peace in the midst of a chaotic world, a place of love and forgiveness, and a place of hope for the hopeless.

Speaking of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Apostle Peter affirmed “… His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence (II Peter 1:3). We believe in the authority and sufficiency of Scripture for all matters pertaining to the Christian life.

Prairie Chapel is located about ten minutes east from central Abbotsford, and although we are not really on the way to anywhere, we have those who travel many miles i to fellowship here. It is well worth the trip!

We offer Sunday School for children and a morning Worship Service each week, as well as mid-week Care Group Bible Studies from teens through seniors.  We look forward to your coming to share the grace of God and fellowship with us.
